South West Roadshow
The day consisted of three main workshops, run by the two local Hearing Unheard Voices (HUV) groups from the South West (Frederick Street Youth Centre and Right Track National Initiative) and the national HUV project.

- The Frederick Street workshop was created by the young people and told of their personal experiences of being young refugees, which moved and had a powerful effect on those who attended.
- Right Track focused on working with young refugees and combating some of the myths around refugees, which everyone said was incredibly eye opening and useful.
- The HUV workshops looked at campaigning using social media and campaigning with young refugees, which opened up a new area of youth work to many workers and caused lively debates around social media.
- The day was finished with a panel answering any questions from the day and a look ahead at what’s next for this project.
Future resource
Through the roadshow young people and youth workers created a resource to support work with young people around the theme of young refugees. The resource is going to be piloted by Plymouth City Youth Service; their feedback will used to improve the materials, before we look at promoting it nationally. The other major piece of follow up work coming out of from this event will be the creation of a pledge for people to sign up to say they will work to a set of standards when working with young refugees and show their support to improve services for young refugees.
