West Midlands Roadshow
Dudley Young Carers, Acorns Children’s Hospice, Shropshire Care Crew Council and UK Youth would like to invite you to attend the West Midlands Hearing Unheard Voices Roadshow event at the Birmingham City Library on the 1st of March.
Programme of the Day
- 9:45 – 10.00 Arrivals and signing in.
- 10:00- 11:30 Showcasing of the campaign work done by the local influences groups in the Main Theatre. The groups will be presenting and discussing their campaign work including films.
- 12:00 – 12:30 Lunch Time
- 12:30 – 13:30 Workshop for Service Providers in the Main Theatre. A workshop that highlights best practice and the importance of the work the influence groups provide.
- 12:30 – 14:30 Peer to Peer Workshops for young people. 4 x 30 minutes workshops in the Workshop rooms
These workshops will be:
- Acorns Children's Hospice – A workshop based on 5 films created by the group around issues disabled young people face.
- Dudley Young Cares – A workshop which gives the members of the groups a chance to tell their stories of being a young carer.
- Shropshire Care Crew Council – A workshop giving the delegates a chance to see how it feels being a young person in care.
- HUV Market Place – A workshop in which delegates will be able to support campaigns and join a mini protest.
- 14:30 – 15:00 End of day evaluation in Main Theatre using quiz buttons and a Q&A panel.
